DIVERSITY STATEMENT

The Girl Scout organization does not discriminate. All members must accept the values expressed in the Girl Scout Promise and Law and pay annual membership dues of $10. Girls must be between the ages of 4 and 17 years old. Adult members are women and men aged 18 and over. These are the only requirements for membership, and this has been the case since the organization was founded in 1912.

Girl Scouts of Greater Chicago and Northwest Indiana includes race, color, ethnicity, sexual orientation, national origin, age, disability, economic status and religion in its anti-discrimination policies.

APPROPRIATE CONDUCT STATEMENT

For all members, the Girl Scout organization has firm standards relating to appropriate conduct. We do not permit sexual displays of any sort by our members while serving in an official Girl Scout capacity.

Girl Scout volunteers and staff must at all times serve as appropriate role models for girls. They must demonstrate responsible behavior consistent with all policies and procedures of the Girl Scout organization.
