The Volunteer Connection
Join our e-mail service, The Volunteer Connection, for adults affiliated with the Chicago Regional Service Center.
Throughout the year, Girl Scouts has many opportunities we'd like to share with volunteers. However, we don't want to overwhelm you with e-mails. We've set up this new system so you can tell us what types of e-mails you want. For example, if you only work with Brownies, you won't get e-mails about Cadettes, unless you choose to receive them. Choose one or as many of the following categories as you'd like. Topics include:
- General Interest
- Daisy Girl Scouts (5-6 Years)
- Brownie Girl Scouts (6-8 years)
- Junior Girl Scouts (9-11 years)
- Teen Girl Scouts (11-17 years)

Easy-to-follow links on the bottom of each e-mail will allow you to unsubscribe or change your preferences at any time. Right now, we are testing the service with volunteers only. If this is successful we will consider including e-mail groups for girls in the future.
GSChicago YahooGroup
Gschicago@yahoogroup.com is Internet group for Chicago Regional Service Center volunteers who would like up-to-the-minute Girl Scout information, a place to network with others, and have a peer group to ask questions about Girl Scouting and receive answers via e-mail. You can join this group in one of two ways:
- Go to the website www.yahoogroups.com and find the box marked search. Type in gschicago. It will take you to the gschicago@yahoogroups home page. In the right hand column, you will see the word join. Click on join and follow the directions to become a part of this group.
- If you do not have internet access, but want to receive information from the list via e-mail, send an e-mail message to gschicago-subscribe@yahoogroups.com. In the body of the message type in the word: subscribe. Don't type anything after that.
- After you have registered to join the list, you will get a message confirming your participation as a member of the gschicago mailing list. Once that message in received, you can send e-mail to the list, ask questions, share a story about you r troop, tell us about a fabulous field trip, or a terrific meeting idea, etc.
